HHHC 2025 Registration Opens In Just 11 Days!
This year’s Happy Holidays Homebrew Competition will be held on December 13, and registration opens on Monday, November 17. HHHC is one of the largest competitions in the region, and draws entries from across the country. Because of the huge demand, we have capped the competition at 650 entries. We have split off meads and ciders into their own competition (Mead Me In St. Louis, which was held in September), so this is a beer-only competition.
Registration starts on Monday, November 17 and closes on Friday, December 5. Last year, we filled all spots within days of the opening of registration so don't wait to get registered! Also, the cap is based on 650 *paid* entries, so once we reach that cap, unpaid entries will be dropped from the system.
Why is demand so high? For one, we have a great judging pool. Almost all entries are judged by two ranked judges. Second, we are part of the Midwest Homebrewer of the Year circuit as well as the Master Homebrewer Program, and this is one of your last chances to improve your ranking. Finally, we are a well-organized competition. We have nice, small flights so that judges don't get burnt out. This years competition will be judged electronically, and so your scores and scoresheets are available immediately upon announcement of the winners.
One final note - we have great awards for our winners! All category winners get beautiful medals and the best in show winners get an engraved plaque.
Being such a big competition, we are always looking for judging and stewarding help. We currently have plans to judge beer Tuesday, Dec 9, Wednesday, Dec 10, Friday, Dec 12, and Saturday, Dec 13.
