2026 Shootout - July 25th - German American

Brewers, some of you may have seen the post on Facebook and a few other places, but we have a date and categories for the 2026 Shootout. 

Time to start thinking about  another 3-peat, since 2017 we've only lost twice (2018 and 2023) and I'd like to keep it that way.

For the couple of people that haven't been involved with the club that long, The Nebraska Shootout is a Nebraska Homebrew Club only competition. Each club can enter 2 beers per category, meaning we will be able to enter a total of 12 from our club. We will take all of the entries on the signup sheet and judge them prior to the competition and choose the top two from each grouping to go on.

Some of these styles require time so please plan your brew schedule accordingly.

I feel really good about these categories this year. We have a lot of good brewers that should be able to knock these out of the park. 

Last year we had 49 entries across 13 brewers for the club pre judging, which was a pretty good turnout. I'd like to see the same or more this year.

Hot butter and biscuits. I'm not sure these categories could have been better suited for us if we had picked them ourselves. Let's run it back.
