Anyone with a few spare minutes?

Following up from a problem I posted about last week, it turns out that
there are numerous people unable to access http://www.autlii.edu.au

Although there were some Wantree clients that were able to access
http://www.austlii.edu.au, the only people who were NOT able to access
the site used Wantree. No one with another ISP experienced the problem.

If you are reading this post and have a spare minute or two, could you
please try and access the site. It would be interesting to see what the
results were although there were going to be a few calls to Wantree
support after a Uni lecture today to complain about lack of access so the
problem may have already been resolved.

We were not able to get a satisfactory repsonse from Wantree, but if we
can demonstrate a number of people with the same problem, maybe we can
get one.

Thanks in advance

Oops - Sorry, it should be http://www.austlii.edu.au as shown in the
second URL, the firs URL listed above is incorrect. Thanks for catching
that one Shane.

Try the second URL that Sean posted, not the first. :) That is, use:

http://www.austlii.edu.au

Not:

http://www.autlii.edu.au

I just tried it dialled into iiNet, worked fine. Then changed my proxies
to proxy.per.wantree.com.au:80 and couldn't get the page. But that may be
because I can't use Wantree proxies from my iiNet connection, I can't
get ANY web pages this way. :)

What are your proxies currently set to, Sean? Have you tried disabling
proxies altogether, letting the transparent proxying do the work?

Network Problems. There has been limited access to AustLII recently.
This is mainly due to network problems beyond our control. Our network
provider is working on fixing this as soon as possible. Thank you for
your patience.

Course, if it existed, we'd have a chance.

root@bilby:/usr/local/src/redir4a-1.2# host www.autlii.edu.au.
Host not found.
root@bilby:/usr/local/src/redir4a-1.2# host www.autlii.edu.au. ns1.telstra.net

IMHO, if both Telstra and Microsoft can't it, it doesn't exist.
