Hi all,

I have a quick favor to ask.

Manna Project is currently competing in the Chase American Giving Awards Facebook contest for a chance to win $1 Million.  Right now we are in third place, and with only 1 day left to take the lead in our category, I'd like to ask for your support.  (If you want to learn more about how Facebook can be used for fundraising and publicity, this is a good example, though this contest is orchestrated by an outside party.)

The contest ends tomorrow, Wednesday, Oct 5, at 12pm ET. As fellow members of the LSF, could you each vote for Manna, as well as spread the word to your contacts through facebook and/or twitter? (short link: http://on.fb.me/qHUbXe, twitter: @mannaproject)

More information about the Chase American Giving Awards can be found here, and then specifically Manna Project's page is here.

$1 Million for Manna means preparing thousands of America's brightest college students for careers tackling global poverty.

Thank you so much.   Its such a privilege to be a part of this forum and to have a network to reach out to for support.

:) Lori

Hi Lori, Zak and the Manna Project team!

A big congratulations again for making it this far in the competition.  I'm sure that we can all imagine how energizing and motivating that must feel.

Just a quick note on fundraising and LSF, we think it's best to avoid direct fundraising, but that LSF is a great space for this kind of outreach--tapping into a pool of like-minded people for votes and other forms of support.  That said, we're open to any feedback.

Again, good luck and keep us all posted on how it goes.  Let's all  VOTE NOW!

Take Care,
Justine

Agree with you Justine -

I'm fine to have this community be for more comprehensive support than simply idea/info exchange. Of course, I'm totally open to the intention of the group. Nice work Team Manna, voted for you guys yesterday. Best of luck.

In community,
