So while going through old "Richfield News" article looking for
material for the Richfield Historical Society's new exhibit, I came a
across several articles on an annual Minstrel show that was put on in
the Richfield community by the Lion's club as a fund raiser. It
appeared to start in 1946 and continued sometime untill the mid 50's.

Here is one of the articles/photos:

While other aspects of racism such as discouraging/ or out right
denying home ownership to people of color in the suburbs is widely
known, how much is know or written about the more "civic" aspects of
racism in the Twin Cities" during the post-war era?

Any other suburbs have a record (or willing to admit to) of minstrel
shows. I would have to think unfortunately this was not that uncommon.
