> > >Hello, I'm a lifelong resident of Richfield and have many happy memories of
Saturday matinees at the Richfield Theater. It was on the west side of
the
street. If memory serves most of the front of the building was razed
but the
auditorium was left and the Bremer Bank was built using three of the
theaters
original walls. The theater itself was beautiful on the inside. It had
a fireplace room
used as a lounge. A fire was always burning in a huge fireplace. Part
of the upswept
roof on the right had a hole cut in it and a tree growing up through
that hole. The first
building to the south of the theater was the "Milk House" which sold
dairy products
and was great for ice cream after a show!
