It's been a good day; three great calls with very realistic and upbeat thoughts and ideas for one positive vision for a "more" local future :-)
Today, called with DiAnna Ritola about Unpacking Sexual Baggage; Robert Rapier with discussion of both Oil Futures, Masks and Freedom(!); and Ellen Brown on how to eliminate unemployment and get to full employment via various means, most easily by state owned banks (it is complicated, but simple at the same time, oddly enough).
That is on top of great talks earlier this week with Sarina Farb about a positive vision of a local future, Nicole Foss on the challenges we face, Rae Sikora on how to stay positive in the face of change, and Grancie Heylighten and Mixel Kiemen on the concept of the "Global Brain" (swarm mind, collective consciousness).

Tomorrow (5/22), Daniel Korowicz at 9:00 a.m. EDT is sharing his new presentation on risk and the future; Gail Tverberg (Gail the Actuary) on the risks to pensions, investment funds and more, at 2:00 p.m.; and then at 9:00 p.m., premiering a tour of Daniel Quinn's home library! :-)
I'd recorded for the 2011 Local Future conference, but don't think I shared at that time, and it had been sitting unpublished on YouTube for the last 8 or 9 years; That is going to do a premiere at 9:00 p.m. EDT, which should be particularly fun for those who will be chatting along, so please do join if you are available :-)
Finally, I have some surprises on the horizon, including visits by Joseph Tainter; in June a visit by Vandana Shiva; and, fingers crossed, Carol Adams in late summer. If you have contacts for people that would be good for me to call upon, please let me know, I know I don't have the perfect balance of everyone, but I'm trying to get there.

I also have a list I'm building of people to call, but I'm reaching pretty far out into my social network, and getting to the point where people don't know me at all, so I'm in need of introductions :-) For example, I haven't yet been able to entice Michael Hudson or Max Tegmark to come on a call :-)
Thank you so much for everything you are doing to try to help us all make it through this challenging time, and to a better future beyond. It reminds me so much of "The Hero's Journey", a framework upon which my 12-year old son is writing an in-depth story. We are all on that hero's journey right now, aren't we? Thank you again, so very much, for your leadership and inspiration :-)
