As Local Future continues to prepare for the Conference on Michigan's Future ( http://futuremichigan.org ) over the November 1-3 weekend, another wonderful event is being organized for the other side of the state.

Below please find the wonderful information about the first Michigan Permaculture Convergence.

I wish I could be in both places!!!

So, there are TWO fantastic events on the November 1-3 weekend. Please do consider attending one, or the other, to help to learn, grow, enjoy, and help to move the future towards a more sustainable, local, permaculture oriented place!  :-)

Best,

Aaron

TIME is passing quickly and we wish to make sure that everyone that may have an interest in joining us at the Michigan Permaculture Convergence has an opportunity for the discounted early registration opportunity.   ALSO encouraging those of us at further distance from the convergence site, near Brighton, MI,  to organize car-pools and shared transportation.

The Inaugural Michigan Permaculture Convergence is taking place this Autumn season, NOV. 1-3, 2013, in southeastern Michigan at the beautiful Camp Talahi, a Retreat and Nature Center. This first annual Michigan event is also the dream seeding of the Great Lakes Bio-Region Permaculture Convergence.

How did a few of us come up with a plan-in-progress to create a network of regional permaculture guilds in Michigan and the Great Lakes bio-region?  Here's a short three and a half minute video invitation to the convergence giving a little background:  http://youtu.be/DKR9ttfkT84

The goal of this convergence is to gather folks who are interested in sharing knowledge and information about permaculture design, principles, and practice. Folks of all skill levels are welcome to participate, whether this is your first introduction to permaculture, or you have been practicing for years... in fact, sharing in a diversity of skills and knowledge is an essential ingredient for strengthening community and increasing our resilience to a changing climate and economy. And it's FUN.

EARLY REGISTRATION ends soon....

NOW, we'd like to share the names of the Michigan regional-guild presenters that have offered to share their passion, wisdom and permaculture-inspired learnings with us.  There will likely be more presentation opportunities and hands-on activities added to the agenda as these final planning weeks' progress---so we're asking attendees to bring as much info. about your project, program or permaculture homestead/site to share with everyone.
