Fracking Meetings in Middleville - First Come, First Seated, limited to 60 seats

FYI -- I've had a number of phone calls today about the meeting on fracking in Middleville this evening.  These are strictly first come, first seated, with limited seating.  There is seating for 60 people.  Doors open at 6 p.m.; the program starts at 7 p.m.  There may be a need to set up a future event to accommodate overflow.  More info below. -- Aaron

May 2, Wed. - Fracking in Your Backyard? -- 7:00 - 9:00 pm, Thornapple Township Hall, 200 E. Main St, Middleville

·         Local Future hosts a discussion of possible negative impacts of fracking in and around Middleville, Yankee Springs Recreation Area, and Michigan.

·         Guest speaker Maryann Lesert, a member of BanMichiganFracking.org, will share her story of educating the public.

May 5, Sat. - Gasland Film -- 7:00 - 10:00 pm, Thornapple Township Hall, 200 E Main St, Middleville

·         Local Future hosts a free screening and discussion of the Academy Award nominated film Gasland.

·         The film documents the impacts on families and communities across the USA from fracking.

 

Both events are free and open to the public.  Seating is limited and on a first come, first served basis.
