Hello and Greetings from the Chelsea Community Kitchen,

If you are receiving this email you are officially a part of the CCK
mailing database. The database will be used to update you on our
progress, announce important dates, and share items of interest to the
local food community. If you wish to be unsubscribed from this list,
please reply to this email.

Hi! My name is Jane Pacheco and I am the Interim Director of the
Chelsea Community Kitchen. The Leadership Team and I have been
working furiously this summer to get the CCK “ready” to open this
fall. We do not have a target date ready quite yet, but we would like
to invite you to an introductory series of Food Safety classes being
held in a few weeks. ServSafe Instructor, Judy R, is donating her time
to teach this first round of classes. Thanks to Judy, the CCK is able
to offer you these classes at a significant discount. As an added
bonus the proceeds from this first round of classes will be donated to
provide operating funds for the CCK. If you’ve been waiting to take a
Serv Safe class or you just want to be prepared to rent the CCK, sign
up now for the August dates. Please pass this information on to
friends who may be interested too!

There will be specific criteria a CCK client will have to meet in
order to rent kitchen space. All users will need to have taken one of
two Serv Safe food safety classes. The level of Food Safety
certification will depend on for what you intend to use the kitchen.
The longer, 2 day class will be required for folks doing product
development with intent to sell and/or people wishing to bake, cook or
prepare food for immediate consumption (catering, etc.). The
shorter, 4 hour class will be required of everyone else (personal use,
to teach cooking classes, etc). Please see more information below or
feel free to reach me at dire...@chelseacommunitykitchen.com or
734-330-4497.

We'd also like to ask for your help with an August 30th Picnic
Fundraiser. This fundraiser is the perfect opportunity to start
building a customer-base for the amazing food creations you will be
developing in the Chelsea Community Kitchen. Even if you are not sure
if you'll use the kitchen, but have a food product you'd like to share
with the CCK community we would like your help. Money raised at this
fundraiser will be used exclusively for the start-up expenses related
to opening the kitchen. The more help we receive the quicker the CCK
will open!

Thanks for your consideration. I look forward to speaking to you all
in the near future. Please feel free to pass this information on to
friends you think may be interested or would like to be added to our
mailing list to receive future updates. Thanks for your help.
