  1. Make Easy "DON'T BE FOOLED ABOUT PROP 16" Calls To Southern California Voters
  2. Share the No on Prop 16 Films
  3. Create BUZZ by putting No on 16 as your Facebook profile picture
The one surefire thing that we know can get people to Vote NO on 16 is get them the truth about Prop 16. Virtually everyone - Republicans, Democrats, young, old, Black, White, Asian, Latino - will vote No on Prop 16 once they understand what PG&E is trying to do.  This email is about how we get that information out.

The best way is phone banking - that is, calling people in Southern California from your home (or in a group phone bank) using the organizing platform used by the Obama campaign. If you are feeling wary about calling strangers, don't worry; its mostly leaving messages on people's messages and most people that you do reach are happy to learn the real deal behind Prop 16.

Another way is to share the amazing films that have been produced for the No campaign. Can you and/or your organization send the Films out to your network?  We can also create buzz in the social media world. For starters, we suggest making the No on 16 graphic your Facebook profile picture.

1. Make Easy "DON'T BE FOOLED ABOUT PROP 16" Calls To Southern California Voters

Can you possibly help make calls from your own phone, on your own time, to key voters in Southern California? Sign up at www.NOprop16.org if yes!

As we count down the days to June 8th, getting the truth about 16 out to voters in Southern California is critical. The big money ad blitz from PG&E there is intense. But the single most effective method of winning campaigns is proven to be personal voter-to-voter contact, whether that's canvassing door-to-door or making phone calls. Sign up at www.noprop16.org and you'll get an email inviting you to phonebank. We provide a suggested script and voter lists, and encourage you and anyone you know to carve out some dedicated time between now and June 8th to make contact, make the difference. Questions? Email me...@themmob.org.

2. Share the No on Prop 16 Films

www.NoProp16Films.org showcases 10 web short films and television spots featuring people of all ages, backgrounds, and walks of life, who are voting NO on Proposition 16 in the June 8 election.  The site also features fun and dramatic No on 16 Films from the One Million Strong campaign, The Marketing Machine, and Connect Media.

3. Create BUZZ by putting No on 16 as your Facebook profile picture

  1. Right click on the above No on 16 image and save to your hard disk.
  2. Got to your Facebook profile
  3. Click your profile picture, select "Change Picture", and then click "Upload a Picture"
  4. Select the No on 16 image from your hard disk
  5. Copy this into the text box and click Publish.

Make no mistake about it. Prop 16 is one of the worst ballot initiatives ever!  As the Ventura County Star noted "Proposition 16 on the June 8 ballot might be compared to the sound of glass breaking at 3 a.m. on a dark night. The outcome isn’t entirely predictable, but it’s more likely to be bad than good for you". Tell your friends to Vote NO on Prop 16.  Visit http://noprop16.org to get involved.

  6. Keep this as your profile picture at least through June
