That sounds awesome, does it work outside the USA? I am in South Africa
and we don't use Zip codes here.

Unfortunately it's not currently set up to work with South African
postal codes -- I could make a version that is compatible if you think
there would be enough demand.

I suppose the demand in south africa is definitely not going to be as

Nice, I found it working with any keyword (just letters without
figures) instead of ZIP code :)
I don't know if it's a bug or feature but in this way I see this
service even more universal and more atractive.
Btw. what server is used for the chatrooms?

I created my own server for this gadget -- no IRC under the hood or
anything -- though that would be really cool. I did create a gadget a
long time ago called "google chat" which is a java applet that uses
IRC.
