Greetings All,

So I waited to long to order a Lobo mill from Jeff. Went to the site only to discover they were out of stock and may or may not be produced again. Since I'm new to CNC machining and because of the work I will produce, the Lobo seems perfect. The ability to run the mill manually with a DRO is a huge benefit.

I emailed Jeff and he suggested I post here.

So, does anyone have one for sale?
Moved on to a larger machine?
Gave up the hobby you got it for?
Don't really use it too often and want to help a guy out?
Need $$ that the wife doesn't know about so you can get that new (insert tool name here)?

Then I'm your guy.

Thanks in advance.
Steve Wheeler

Looks like my user name is "Me". I'll see if I can fix that.

Rockin' good news,

Scored a used Lobo!

Bad news. Shipping incident. The X-axis controller took an impact and has a broken cover, bent disk and the lens on the optical sensor is crushed. The stepper may be fine, it twitches when the machine is first turned on and also when the jog buttons are clicked on the program.

Any replacements available?

Steve

Hi,

I'm in the same situation as Steve, being extremely interested in a LoBo and realizing that it is not sold anymore. Anyone else here, willing to sell his machine?

Very Best,
Matthias

For reference I think the encoders are optical code wheel type from US Digital.  There's a part number on the Lobo site if I remember

For those that want one - it is open source so you could build one yourself. It'll be a little more expensive because you're not getting bulk discounts on the materials, but the assembly is well worth it. A decent sheet metal shop should have an easy time reading Jeff's plans to fab the main frame.

We use our Lobo every week!  You can't have it!!
