Grab and Go with Cloud Identity Accounts?

I have a customer that is wanting to setup Grab and Go in their organization but will not be purchasing G Suite. I am wondering what the limitations would be in that type of environment. Is there a list of limitations of using CI with Grab and Go?

For example, would the notification emails do a normal MX lookup and go to their primary accounts at (for example) O365? Any issues with the user syncs or other crons?
