Lightweight media pods lower shipping costs and nearly eliminate the need for refrigerated shipping. Custom media in smaller quantities for iteration decrease the upfront costs during testing phases, and reduces waste.

Formulations defined during early-stage iteration are stored in NB-Lux and can be scaled from pod to liquid in a bag or drum. Scale the production to match the demands of your commercialization efforts.

Krakatoa is manufactured by our sister company, Stoic Bio , and is distributed by Nucleus Biologics. Cell culture media and reagents for the Krakatoa media maker are manufactured by Nucleus Biologics.

Krakatoa runs an internal self-cleaning cycle automatically after every pod run. No input is required from the user to initiate this sequence. External cleaning may be performed periodically in accordance with the guidelines in the user manual.

The Philadelphia Student Mediamaker Fund is administered by Scribe Video Center. Evaluation of proposals and selection of grant recipients is made collectively by members of media arts organizations, individual members of the independent film and digital media community, and local colleges and universities in the Philadelphia area who are involved in media making, educating and supporting local artists.

Any undergraduate or graduate student of any age currently enrolled at a college or university located in the Philadelphia region including schools located in eastern Pennsylvania (Philadelphia, Montgomery, Delaware, Chester, Northampton, Bucks, and Lehigh counties) New Jersey (Camden, Burlington, Mercer, Gloucester and Salem counties) and Delaware (New Castle and Kent counties).

Pre-Production Costs - These costs include travel and filming for research of story elements; writing, shooting and editing of a sample reel; grant writing consultants for fundraising, story development consultants, website construction; lookbook; other activities prior to principal photography and production start.

Scribe Video Center and members of the Philadelphia Student Mediamaker Fund assemble a rotating panel of local indie filmmakers and representatives from colleges and universities, and non-profit independent media organizations to review all written and audio/visual application materials.

One goal of these awards is to expand access to underserved, under-acknowledged, and/or under-engaged populations. We encourage applications from students who may fall at the intersection of identities, such as people of color, immigrants, queer people, people facing poverty, and/or trans folks.

Letter of Support from Faculty/Mentor - A letter of support from a faculty member or other mentor that supports your work and agrees to provide guidance to you through the grant period. The letter writer must agree to attend one check in meeting with Scribe staff half way through the grant period.

Work Sample - A sample of the student's past work that best represents their abilities. We will accept links to past media projects, stills, drawings or narrative scripts. We will also review work samples (including outlines, scripts, research footage) from the proposed project.

Undergraduate students and makers affiliated with a regional media making institution will receive payment of 80% of the grant award (ex. $400 of a $500 award) upon return of their co-signed grant award letter. The balance will be paid upon completion of the reporting requirements.

Six months after receiving the award, the grant recipient must provide evidence that the work funded is complete by providing a link to the work product and submitting a narrative and financial report.

The Philadelphia Student Mediamaker Fund, a program of Scribe Video Center, is made possible with support from the Independence Public Media Foundation

Founded in 1982, Scribe Video Center is a nonprofit media arts center that provides an opportunity for adults and young people to produce digital media under professional instruction. Projects exploring personal visions, social issues, and community life are of particular interest to Scribe.

The School of Business recently launched the Media Maker Space located in Seton 507. This innovative facility serves as a versatile multimedia lab, offering MSJ students, faculty, and staff an array of capabilities. Community members can utilize this space for streaming and recording a wide range of content, including interviews, YouTube videos, instructional materials, brainstorming sessions, promotional content, and podcasts. The Media Maker Space is thoughtfully equipped with professional-grade microphones, a mixing board, cameras, lighting equipment, laptops, headphones, a presentation desk, and a customizable bookshelf backdrop.

A noteworthy feature of this space is its potential to transform traditional academic assignments. Instructors now have the option to reimagine conventional essay or reflection tasks, allowing students to create podcasts or YouTube video reflections instead. For example, students enrolled in Digital Marketing this semester are making excellent use of the Media Maker Space. They are converting industry whitepapers into engaging podcast interviews, where they apply concepts from these papers to renowned brands such as Nike, Spotify, Fashion Nova, and Google.

The School of Business is thrilled to provide the MSJ community with this exciting outlet for nurturing and exploring creativity, enhancing outreach efforts, and fostering media literacy. We believe that the Media Maker Space will be an invaluable resource for all who wish to venture forward into the world of multimedia content creation.

What is there? The following garbage is there. Microsoft Autoupdate Exclusive test package, Microsoft Autoupdate Reboot test package, Microsoft Autoupdate testpackage1, Microsoft AUtoupdate testpackage2, Microsoft Autoupdate Test package3.

Someone decided to trash the one part of Windows that was usable? The file system is no longer usable. The registry is not usable. This program listing was one sane place but now it is all crapped up.

But that is just the start of the crap. Later I have listed things like Windows XP Hotfix see Q329048 for more information. What is Q329048? Why are these series of patches listed here? Some of the patches just things like Q810655 instead of saying see Q329048 for more information.

So after more than an hour of craziness and making my programs list garbage and being scared and seeing that Microsoft.com is a terrible website I haven't run Moviemaker and I haven't got the plus package

The lack of attention to usability represented by these experiences blows my mind. I thought we had reached a low with Windows Network places or the messages I get when I try to use 802.11. (don't you just love that root certificate message?)

Can you guys coordinate between you on how to deal with this situation on our bits? Bill's situation is worse than my personal experience but still, this aspect of the system needs to be looked at carefully and become a sign off item for each release.

I don't know what it means to "own website issues", nor am I yet sure the best way to handle the complex mess of coordinating between product teams, WU, and MS.COM. Dave, would you please forward the other reply you mentioned?

I have always been concerned about this and feel that this has a lot of engineering implications. I also feel that the reason is it such a mess is because marketing teams own release to web in this company. Frankly, we should be up in arms about this and want to program manager and develop whatever code we need to to ensure that every customer that even thinks they want to download our bits can do so in as easy and painless a way as possible. Downloading is the first step to setup and we should think of them equally or as one experience. But, if you want nothing revolutionary and want to band-aid (which is fine and understandable) then I agree with your plan to give it to Dave.

I don't think you can abdicate this entirely to marketing. If WU is the preferred way to deliver bits to end users we all need to drive WU to deliver what we need, both individually and as a collective request from DMD.

One of the biggest issues today is that WU provides no way to promote a download to an end-user. We want to promote MM2 and WMP9S to end-users as something new and cool that they can get for Windows. Three lines of text describing it buried under "Windows XP" in a page that the user has to purposefully go find just isn't good enough. Why can't the WU client-side piece proactively display a bubble "Look! Cool, new features for Windows XP" and the option to display a much richer "advertisement" for the feature if the user wants to read more?

Other issues -
MUI - I guess this is getting fixed now but it's always been an issue for us
Link to download through WU - why can't we send a user right in to WU to get MM2 without them having to wade through the whole site?
Critical updates that aren't really critical - if you machine is behind a firewall many just aren't critical
Too many fixes bombarding users all the time - I routinely ignore them now and perhaps update once a month as otherwise I'd be rebooting all the time
WU's inflexible release schedule. If there is a major tradeshow at which we want to announce we need flexibility in timing the release
