Amnesty International interviewed 63 survivors of sexual violence, as well as medical professionals. Twenty-eight survivors identified Eritrean forces as the sole perpetrators of rape.

The pattern of acts of sexual violence, with many survivors also witnessing rape of other women, indicates that sexual violence was widespread and intended to terrorize and humiliate the victims and their ethnic group.

Health facilities in Tigray registered 1,288 cases of gender-based violence from February to April 2021. Adigrat Hospital recorded 376 cases of rape from the beginning of the conflict to 9 June 2021. However, many survivors told Amnesty International they had not visited health facilities, suggesting these figures represent only a small fraction of rapes in the context of the conflict.

Survivors still suffer significant physical and mental health complications. Many complained of physical trauma such as continued bleeding, back pain, immobility and fistula. Some tested positive for HIV after being raped. Sleep deprivation, anxiety and emotional distress are common among survivors and family members who witnessed the violence.

Twelve survivors said they were held captive for days and often weeks, and repeatedly raped, in most cases by several men. Some were held in military camps, others in houses or grounds in rural areas.

Between March and June 2021, Amnesty International interviewed 63 survivors of rape and other sexual violence; 15 in person in Sudan, and 48 remotely on secure telephone lines. Amnesty International also interviewed medical professionals and humanitarian workers involved in treating or assisting survivors in the towns of Shire and Adigrat, and in refugee camps in Sudan, about the scale of sexual violence and for corroborating information on specific cases.

In May, the Ethiopian authorities announced that three Ethiopian soldiers had been convicted and 25 others indicted for rape and other acts of sexual violence. However, no information has been made available about these trials, or other measures to investigate and to bring those responsible to justice.

Both Hobson and English Giant rape varieties are heavy feeders and respond well to applications of farm yard manure or mature compost, which should, however, be supplemented with either a compound or straight fertilizer [6, 14]. A recommended good practice is to collect soil samples from the land and send for analysis before planting in order to apply the exact amount of fertilizer and manure required by the crop [15]. The condition of the crop will dictate whether further top dressings are needed [11].

If appropriate fertilizer inputs are combined with suitable varieties, larger increases in crop yields could be achieved on a sustainable basis. It is hypothesized in this study that the two rape varieties, English Giant and Hobson, have similar growth and yield response to varying AN fertilizer application levels. The results of the experiment are useful in minimizing the cost of fertilizers through application of site-specific requirements, instead of using the general recommendation in the general rape agronomy guide.

There were no significant () in-season fresh leaf mass differences between the two rape varieties, Hobson and English Giant, and there were also no significance () on the variety x fertilizer level interaction effect on in-season fresh leaf yield all the assessment times (5, 7, 9, and 11 WAP).

The Giant rape and Hobson rape had similar leaf length response to AN application rate under the subtropical Zvimba District conditions. As argued by Bacha et al. [41], the genotype environment E interaction effects make it difficult to select the best performing as well as the most stable genotypes, and so, its efficient interpretation is an important issue in plant improvement. This similarity of the two rape cultivars to application rate could be an indication of similarity in the breeding history, may be with a common parentage.

It is recommended that farmers should be encouraged to grow either of the two varieties as they showed that they have no effect on the growth rate and yield of rape. Both varieties indicated that they perform very well under high nitrogen levels. It also recommended that further research should be done to ascertain the hazards of nitrates in vegetables to human health and their effect to the environment. Also, another research to assess the chemical content and the taste of rape vegetables after application of higher nitrogen fertilizer levels needs to be investigated.

The alleged gang rape of an 11-year-old girl by at least 18 boys and young men has sparked shame and outrage in a tiny Texas town, but it has also stirred racial tensions that threaten to split the East Texas hamlet.

Muslim women in Foca (southeastern Bosnia and Herzegovina) were subjected to a brutal regime of gang rape, torture and enslavement by Bosnian Serb soldiers, policemen and members of paramilitary groups after the takeover of the city in April 1992, according to a major indictment issued by the International Tribunal dealing specifically with sexual offences.

Many of the detained women, some as young as 12 years of age, endured inhumane conditions of detention and were subjected to "humiliating and degrading conditions of life, to brutal beatings and to sexual assaults, including rapes (. . .)"

These and other women were subjected to almost constant rape and sexual assaults; torture; and other abuses. According to the indictment: "The physical and psychological health of many female detainees seriously deteriorated as a result of these sexual assaults. Some of the women endured complete exhaustion, vaginal discharges, bladder problems and irregular menstrual bleedings. The detainees lived in constant fear. Some of the sexually abused women became suicidal. Others became indifferent as to what would happen to them and suffered from depression (. . . )"

Only 15-years of age when she was first detained in July 1992, the Prosecutor has alleged that FWS-87 was subjected to at least eight months of routine torture, including gang rape, and enslavement at the hands of accused such as JANKOVIĆ, JANJIĆ, KOVAĆ, VUKOVIĆ, ZELENOVIĆ, KUNARAC and STANKOVIĆ and countless other unidentified soldiers.

FWS-87 was first detained at the Buk Bijela complex on the River Drina on or about 3 July 1992. There, she was interrogated by Dragan ZELENOVIĆ and three unidentified soldiers, each of whom raped her in turn. One of the soldiers put a gun to her head as he raped her. FWS-87 suffered severe pain during the attack, followed by heavy vaginal bleeding.

Between 3 and 13 July 1992, FWS-87, together with at least 72 other Muslim inhabitants of Foca, was transferred to Foca High School. FWS-87 was one of several women who, from the second day of their detention, were sexually assaulted, including gang-raped every evening, by groups of soldiers, either in the class-rooms or in nearby apartments. The soldiers consisted of members of the military police and referred to themselves as "Cosa's Guards", after the local commander of the military police, Cosovic. Amongst the perpetrators were the accused JANKOVIĆ, ZELENOVIĆ, JANJIĆ and VUKOVIĆ.

During this same period, FWS-87 was taken from Foca High School to a nearby apartment owned by ZELENOVIĆ on at least five occasions. There, she was raped by Zoran VUKOVIĆ and Dragan ZELENOVIĆ .

Around 13 July 1992, FWS-87 and the other detainees at Foca High School were transferred to the Partizan Sports Hall. While being held there, until about 2 August 1992, FWS-87 and other female detainees were continuously raped and otherwise sexually assaulted by innumerable soldiers and by the accused Dragan ZELENOVIĆ, Zoran VUKOVIĆ and Dragoljub KUNARAC with the actual or constructive knowledge of the accused Dragan GAGOVIĆ. FWS-87 became suicidal as a result of these sexual assaults.

On or about 30 October 1992, FWS-87, together with other Muslim girls and women, were taken away from the house and were detained in different houses and apartments, where they were subjected to sexual assaults. They were raped and otherwise sexually assaulted on numerous occasions by the accused Dragan ZELENOVIĆ, Gojko JANKOVIĆ and Janko JANJIĆ.

Today's indictment charges the eight accused with a total of 62 counts of crimes against humanity; grave breaches; and violations of the laws and customs of war. These charges specifically relate to the crimes: rape; torture; outrages upon personal dignity; persecution on political, racial and/or religious grounds; wilfully causing great suffering; enslavement; and inhuman treatment.

But after a year, a gang caught her. They wanted to make her stop working so that they could control the business of providing communications in the city. So they got a Native man who was addicted to opiates to commission Wab for a run in exchange for danishes. When Wab arrived she followed men with baseball bats to meet a man with kinky, red hair. He showed her that the envelope is empty and explained that he wanted to put her out of business. The men forcibly took Wab to a broken freezer. There the red-head slashed her eye and the men gang-raped her. The Native man who commissioned Wab for that run is the same man she saw in the woods.

Earlier today, in federal court in Central Islip, a 15-count indictment was unsealed charging David M. Amin (D. Amin) and Bryce K. Amin (B. Amin), who are brothers, with sex trafficking by force, interstate prostitution, and distribution and possession with intent to distribute controlled substances, including fentanyl, heroin, cocaine and cocaine base. As alleged in court filings, D. Amin and B. Amin are both members of the Bloods street gang. D. Amin was arrested this morning and will be arraigned this afternoon before United States Magistrate Judge Lee G. Dunst. B. Amin is presently incarcerated on state narcotics charges and will be arraigned at a later date.
