In South Africa we unfortunately cannot rely solely on the national supply grid. NJD Technologies has designed a cost effective backup energy solution that has been tried and tested in the telecommunication industry.
Our Power Back-up System provides a double conversion online system that supplies load continuously from inverter outputs that are more stable that the Utility power supply in South Africa. The Power Back-up System are making use of high quality and reputable components to ensure a robust power system that will last.
The 8KVA Power Backup system is designed to supply the load a minimum of 4 hours in the event of a power failure and with the battery technology that is use in conjunction with the Enatel Inverters, these batteries will be charged to 85% DOD in 3 hours.
The Power Back-up System are making use of high quality and reputable components to ensure a robust power system that will last. The Power Back-up System is made up by 6 x 1500VA Enatel inverters to supply the AC load and 4 x 3000W Enatel rectifiers that will supply the DC bus for the inverters and will charge the batteries at the same time. The system is quip with a manual and automatic bypass in the event of component failure or other issues.
The Enatel Inverters will be able to supply 9000VA at a power factor of 0.8, however the system is based on a safety factor of 1.125 hence its rated as 8000VA. 3 x Durathon SMH 184AH batteries that will be connected in parallel to supply the load for the desired 4 hours in the event of a power failure.
The 5KVA Power Backup system is designed to supply the load a minimum of 4 hours in the event of a power failure and with the battery technology that is used in conjunction with a Vitron Energy Multiplus Inverter the batteries will be charged to 85% DOD in 3 hours.
The Power Back-up System will be a fast transfer from Utility power to Inverter power in the event of a power failure. The Victron Energy Multiplus inverter has a built-in rectifier that will charge the batteries when the Utility power is present.
