Subject: BDA stops L&T's wall construction on 2nd Sept'09

 

Dear fellow Residents,
 
This is further to my mail of the 25th, where I narrated the outcome of the meeting with the BDA commissioner on the 24th instant'. Following through, this morning,  we submitted a proposal to the Commissioner for the rerouting of the East-West road and attendant matters. Thereupon, we also alluded to L&T's attempts to change the character of our internal roads and our property at large by building all sorts of dividing walls. ......... We pointed to L&T's claims of carrying out such work at the behest of BDA, which as is now understood is a total misrepresentation of facts................. Consequently, as of this afternoon (2nd Sept'09), BDA has in effect directed L&T to refrain from any further construction of dividing walls, until our rerouting proposal is examined in detail.
 
As of the evening of the 2nd, the frenetic activity in building the North-South wall along our eastern face now stands arrested. The ban also applies to the half-done East-West wall that runs alongside the East-West main road. .............In case any of you observe any untoward activity in contravention of the ban, please alert our SUGRUHA  Secretary Shri AV Venkatesh immediately.
