Dear Apartment Owner:

As you are aware, the South City Group Housing Apartment Owners Association was registered on July 14, under the Karnataka Apartment Ownership Act (KAOA) with Registration No BNG(U)-JPN/82/2009-10.  L&T and the landowner were not party to this registration as explained in our earlier emails. 

The SCGHAOA will now take steps to call for a General Body meeting and elect Block-wise representatives, who in turn, will elect the Board of Management. This momentous task has been achieved after overcoming obstacles at every step. As if the sheer number of apartments with owners resident, living abroad, houses locked and so on were not enough, we had to overcome a certain section, however small, of dissidents who tried their best to sabotage the registration process. Truth prevailed in the end and the Registration was granted after a 3-day delay when it was scrutinised by higher level officials of the government.

The news of the formal registration of SCGHAOA has enthused quite a few owners to send in their Special Power of Attorney (SPOAs). We shall include their names in the next round. However, some of you have not responded to any of our communication in this regard. Under the KAOA, an owner can become a member of the association only by completing the Registration process. Mere payment of the fees is not enough. Do therefore expedite despatch of your SPOA. We would like to complete the process of registering additional members by 15^th August. There are several issues such as maintenance, management and security that needs to be addressed by SCGHAOA! Hence please treat this as URGENT.
