Subject: Tornado at Briarwoo

Good evening Jackie, wanted to let you know that Briarwood  took a direct hit from a tornado on Wednesday evening.  Everyone is fine but Briarwood  was hit hard with substantial damage between the gate and the visitor center.

We are in need of an army of volunteers to come and  help with the clean-up.  

Can you put out an email to the LNPS folks and let them know please?  The big stuff is done.  We now need  folks with saws, clippers, hands and  gloves to do the finesse work of removing limbs and other debris from the plants.  Also anyone who can assist with the iris garden which is in desperate need of weeding.

We will love any assistance we can get!
