Dear Sir,
I have been interacting with LNMIIT students through emails and social media. I also visited LNMIIT few months back when I could meet you in person and discuss some of the challenges ahead and progress. One of the challenge we face at LNMIIT is that students prefer to go to other Universities to conduct research/prototyping which causes a serious brain drain issue for LNMIIT.
I was discussing this with Manoj Alwani and we came upon idea of organizing a Human Computer Interaction workshop. We used to organize similar workshop while we were at LNMIIT which led to many excellent projects- quadcopter, robotic hand, wildlife monitoring system, water conversation system, healthCare wristlet etc. Unfortunately, the camp has been discontinued. We seek your permission for organizing the camp in Summers (July). We plan two workshops Basic and Advanced of 10 days each where we would do hands on prototyping with Kinect using gestures, vision, speech and depth. We also plan to introduce them to Brain Computer Interfaces which are latest research trend.
Manoj and I, would like to meet you in person and discuss the same on 12th April.
Regards,
Jatin
