Greetings and Salutations. Since many of you'll have been worrying about your money, sponsorship scene or just generally want to know how financially sound we are, this is the update. As of now, we need the CoolAge money to come through to pay off some key loans. With regard to that, some CoolAge stuff has still to be done. Here are the stipulations that are still to be satisfied:

a)  NLSIU shall promote CoolAge links (content URLs from (www.coolage.in) on their Facebook page each on a daily basis four times a day, during the term of this MoU.

I really don't know how this works, so if anyone a little more confident with Facebook knows how to do this, let me know.

b) NLSIU would drive an initiative for a total of 3000 Facebook likes on the facebook page of CoolAge (http://www.facebook.com/AOLCoolAge) within the month of March 2013

I remember the committee discussing this but I think we did contribute about 10 likes. We need to send the link across to college, your friends, family, distant cousins and your family doctor to get the likes. I suggest we get started on this asap. And the whole committee needs to be involved in this.

c) NLSIU shall provide minimum of two (3) student interns who are passionate about writing for AOL CoolAge Website as per guidelines of http://www.coolage.in/intern-with-us/, who need to contribute a minimum of five (5) articles per week. The students who want to write the articles will be required to first register with AOL CoolAge at http://www.coolage.in/intern-with-us/ and such students will be governed by the AOL CoolAge internship program, for a minimum of one (1) year as per guidelines provided by AOL CoolAge.

Till now only Nupur has signed up and I'm told some are facing issues signing up. I've told Nupur to mail the directions to the committee, and after that if the problem persists, we will get in touch with CoolAge. But it is imperative we atleast make an attempt to register. I believe Shimal, Sakhi and Pushkal have volunteered to join as interns. Now, Surbhi also. Please ask Nupur in case you have any doubts and try and get it sorted before we take it to CoolAge.

e) NLSIU shall deliver to AOL CoolAge, after the conclusion of the Festival, a detailed report highlighting the effective brand presence of AOL CoolAge during the Festival, specifying the number of banners put up and the number of students interested in internship. The report should be supported by pictorial proofs.

Any suggestions with regard to this are welcome.

I understand that a lot of you have midterms, other priorities and committments, but we are terribly short of funds and we need to the committee to step up. If you get asked about the canteen bill every time you enter the canteen or are stopped everywhere and asked for requisitions, you'll realise how incredibly frustrating it is. There is a month to go, and we need to get the money. We need to satisfy 4 clauses and I imagine it is not completely unattainable. Please remember that prize money and loans have to be paid off from sponsorship money, so getting this done is very important. We have another 2 months to go with this committee, so let's all stop pretending as if we are done.

Mail back with doubts, concerns and maybe even results.

I'll take up clause b. 3000 likes by the end of may from my side. Just confirm this with coolage though...if someone likes their page, how do they know its because of the lnd initiative?

Someone write the report please.

(A) is quite simple. Someone has to go up on fb 4 times a day and share a coolage link. Atleast, I think that's what it means. Pushkal was our point man for fb...will u be able to do this?

- however,when they say 'during term of mou', do they mean the entire year? Because that also means that coolage money will only come through at the end of their 'internship' program. Is that what they mean?

We have an extension of a month, so don't worry about that. 

With regard to the term of the MoU, if we show them that we'e done enough we can ask for the 1.25 lakhs for the pre-tournament money. We are going to ask for it all at once, but for that we need to show that we have complied with the MoU.

The likes thing was a bit of a confusion for everyone and there is still no clarity on it. But basically if we show that the number of likes have increased post NLS-D and we have shared it on facebook and other media or platforms, it might do the trick.

As of now, the CoolAge people are pretty pissed off at us. The last I spoke to them, they said they want to give the money as well but because the conditions of the MoU are not met, it's not going to work out till we fulfill our part of the deal.

On an aside, several teams including SIT, NLU D and NLIU had asked for their certificates and a letter for their internal attendance and reimbursement purposes. 

Just wanted to know who's in charge. These teams have been asking for a month now, and they were apparently promised that it'd be done in a day or so. So they're quite unhappy since their year is about to end.

Whoever's in charge, can this be done by tomorrow latest?

So I registered for Cool Age/sent them the sample article/cover letter etc. almost two weeks ago. They said I had to send back a scanned and signed document, which I did. After that they've stopped replying.
