Subject: Some sad news (Michael Hewitt Wilson)

I just learned that Michael Hewitt Wilson passed away. I did not know him well but anyone who has served on this board in the last decade (probably much longer) knew that he was tireless in his insistence that we all do better. This is a good thing to remember. 

Michelle MacCutcheon was kind enough to provide the words below which I hope can be included in an upcoming issue of LP News. 

In Memory of Michael Hewitt Wilson

Today we remember Michael Hewitt Wilson, a dedicated Libertarian and tireless advocate for liberty whose impact reached far beyond politics.

Michael had a genuine passion for ensuring that the principles of liberty were accessible to everyone, especially those facing economic hardship. He believed that every person deserved dignity, opportunity, and the freedom to build a better life. Through his outreach and unwavering commitment to the Libertarian movement, he worked to engage others with compassion, respect, and a sincere desire to make a difference.

His years of service to the Libertarian Party of Washington, recognized through his designation as a Lifetime Membership Honoree, reflected the lasting impact of his dedication and leadership.

Michael will be remembered not only for his steadfast commitment to liberty, but also for the kindness, conviction, and heart he brought to the cause. His legacy will continue to inspire those who share his vision of a freer and more compassionate society.

Rest in peace, Michael. You will be deeply missed.
