For those who don't know, last Sunday, January 4 I had a stroke. I spent four days in the hospital and have been at Frazier Rehab since. My right side is weak but improving. I suffered no memory or cognitive loss. The stroke was caused by a clog in the
capillary arteries in the pons section of the brain. High blood sugar of close to 500 and high blood pressure were the causes. I hadn't seen a doctor since 2009 or so. My blood sugar is around 166 now. I've dropped 12 pounds over the last week which is
a good thing. I will take any meds I need to, but my goal is to lose enough weight and get healthy enough to where I don't need to take any insulin or blood pressure meds.
