The membership should know about this massive and continuous breach of duty. Maybe someone better suited and more capable will step up and offer to do the job.

Subject: Proposal Regarding Treasurer Redpath

Dear Colleagues,

I am writing to you with deep concern regarding the continued performance and conduct of our Treasurer, Bill Redpath. After observing a consistent pattern of neglect of fiduciary duties and actions that have harmed Party functionality, I believe it is time for this Committee to formally address the matter.

The Treasurer’s responsibilities are not ceremonial... they are central to the health of our organization. Unfortunately, Mr. Redpath has repeatedly failed to meet the standard of reliability and accountability this role demands.

These failures include:
• Failure to provide timely and accurate financial reports, leaving the Committee without the information needed to make sound decisions.
• Neglect of transparency obligations, with financial inquiries often met with delayed or incomplete responses.
• Deficient oversight of compliance filings, exposing the Party to unnecessary legal and reputational risk.
• Lack of budgetary leadership, providing little guidance or engagement in fiscal planning and fundraising strategy.
• Pattern of inaccessibility, with important communications going unanswered or delayed.
• Delinquent Ballot Access Report, by not providing the LNC with a ballot access report from last term, a new ballot access Committee cannot be elected until it is obtained.

For these reasons, I propose that the LNC formally request Mr. Redpath’s resignation. I have heard through multiple sources that he has been considering stepping down anyways, but it is not in the best interest for him to continue serving as Treasurer at the expense of our organization. If our LNC was not a factional mess, on its face the failure to perform these critical responsibilities would be justifiable reasons for removal.

I do not bring this forward lightly. However, I believe decisive action is necessary to restore confidence in our leadership, safeguard our financial integrity, and financially heal our Party.

I welcome your thoughts and discussion on how we can best move forward.

In liberty,

Ben Weir
