I'd like for the Excom to consider following motion. Since we’ve already discussed it let’s just get it over with. I don’t know the required threshold for sponsors off the top of my head, but whatever is necessary I seek and kindly ask for it.

I move that the Executive Committee authorize the trademark enforcement litigation in New Mexico as previously presented, contingent on adoption of the budget authorization by the full LNC. Once both approvals are in place, the Chair is directed to execute the retainer agreement with Fresh IP PLC and initiate the litigation within seven days.

Mr. Watkins,

Give the motion before the entire LNC to "move to increase the "legal-proactive" budget line item by $10,000 and direct the Chair to sign the retainer proposal with Fresh IP in the amount of $20,000, plus an hourly rate as specified", doesn't that make your motion moot? As the motion before the entire body already directs the Chair to sign the Fresh IP retainer and your motion is conditional on that motion being passed.

In either case, I have started the ExCom email ballot for your motion.

Executive Committee's authorization to initiate litigation is required by the PM. This is why we had a recent Excom meeting to discuss litigation instead of those items being on the agenda for the LNC meeting.
