Keith,

As you already know, we compiled with all of the JC's stupid requests and jumped through their silly hoops. All submissions in favor of the appellant have been suppressed and silenced, apparently without so much as a recorded vote. Now you are gaslighting and mocking the injustice we are experiencing — a textbook example of bigotry and prejudice.

I ask again, how is your behavior and leadership any different than Trump, Biden, Fauci, or any other corrupt government abuser of public trust and power? The abuses of power, lack of consequences, and betrayals of public trust are a far bigger problem than mere philosophy.

As I said before, I would like the LP to be different than the establishment.

Don't you?

You're a dues-paying member, right, Austin? Just file the briefs yourself so they're eligible - bam - let the JC suck on that. Then you can cheer for Jeremy Kauffman in the appeal against the LNC as loudly as you want.

Seems better than doing it improperly, being told it's not valid, and then trying to force it through when doing it the way they've requested would take a matter of minutes.

Keith,

It troubles me that you openly celebrate inequality and unfairness. You are mocking a minority who is being mistreated, while pretending to have the moral high-ground; this kind of pro-injustice-behavior from the powerful is one of the factors that radicalized me into becoming a libertarian.

I came here to hold my government accountable, only to find their insecure younger siblings running this party and committing the same kinds of injustices.

When I try to do my job, ask questions, and navigate disagreements, I am met with provocations and unfair applications the rules. It is the same as last term: I was vilified, demonized, and defamed for asking questions and providing oversight. I am having trouble seeing any difference now between the LNC and any other corrupt good-ol'-boys club.

What makes you any different than the state democrats and republicans I oppose? To me, the only difference is that the level of power you have is considerably less, and so you can do less direct harm. If an elected official misbehaved this way, I would support brutal and permanent punishment as the proper solution. Fauci, Trump, Biden, and the rest of the gang: what makes them any different than you folks, other than degrees of power at their disposal to misuse? I am genuinely curious.

I would like for the LP to be different than the establishment.

Greetings.

Although I disagree with Mr. Thompson on a number of things, including outlooks on mass rejection of submissions by the JC Chair of things originating from one side of an appeal, I dont believe him to be a communist.

Thank you.

As I sit here in my paid-off home, happily working my capitalist non-government job, writing proprietary and privatized code from my own private property, I wonder:

Wouldn't a socialist actually prefer the collective submission of items?

The reason Keith Thompson is supporting not having a fair hearing and the JC rejecting documents is he’s a socialist and hates any group not promoting socialism.

I’m sure Griffiths, Longstreth, Leatherman, Redpath, and the other socialist members agree.

Keith,

Let me summarize this so even you can grasp it:

  1. Bylaws 5.6: "all interested persons can submit material."

  1. JC: "this means LPNH & LNC only",

  1. Other states try to file for their affiliate interests, per bylaws... JC tells them to jump through hoops.

  1. JC: breaks rigged rules they wrote weeks ago, *rejects and silences all dissent without votes*.

  1. Keith: "Trolol! Why didn't you plebs follow the rules?"

Did I miss anything?

The "hoop" here seem to simply be that either parties directly involved, or sustaining/lifetime members may file. Right?

I suggested that you file it yourself, and you seemed to indicate that you had - but that no longer appears to be what's being done.

For what it's worth - I do agree with you that, under a strict reading of the rules, the JC should vote if they're going to reject an amicus brief, even if it's improperly filed.  That said, there's little value in drama-farming when you could have just submitted them yourself in a matter of seconds.
