Fellow LNC Board Members,

I was out of contact over the weekend, as I was chairing my state convention. We had a great turn out, got same day statewide media coverage on our candidates, raised money for our ballot access candidate, and helped put together street kits for a local organization that works with the homeless community.

I am still "out of office" as I am filing our candidates' paperwork with the election division, working with media, uploading convention data, updating our website, depositing donations, and all of the other post-convention tasks.

I will be fully back tomorrow and at that point will start any new ballots that came in since Sunday. I did process the results of the CSC Vacancy ballot as that ended Saturday at 11:59 pm PT and I am sure the CSC is ready to get to work with the new addition to the committee.

I hope you all are well and had a great weekend (I know several additional state affiliates held their conventions over the weekend).

Mr. Secretary,

The Chair's motion for budget authorization and Mr. Watkins' ExCom motion for the New Mexico trademark litigation were both fully sponsored by Tuesday afternoon. Under our rules, ballots are to be distributed within two days of sponsorship. That deadline is now upon us and neither ballot has been sent.

You indicated on Monday that you would be "fully back" on Tuesday and would "start any new ballots that came in since Sunday." These motions came in. We are now officially into Thursday, and the ballots have not started.

The New Mexico trademark litigation has been pending since this body's unanimous October 5, 2025 directive — nearly six months ago. Our recognized affiliate has been waiting for the LNC to act on its commitment. Every additional day without a ballot is another day the parties infringing on our trademarks operate unchallenged.
