Who TF is responsible for this abomination?

 🤮

This is a critical candidate for the LP to support in 2026, running in Massie's lost district, and where we are contemplating fundraising activities.

It seems like someone is trying to alienate donors, candidates, and volunteers at the same time.

Think about it: if I were a democrat strategist in KY, this is exactly the kind of messaging I would want a compromised LNC to post to benefit Dems in that pivotal district — to protect the unity of the Dem vote and spoil the GOP by associating the Liberty candidate with a MAGA defection.

It seems too perfect to be a tasteless accident.

Sincerely,
Austin Martin

Greetings.

The controversy over this post highlights some important issues within the party as it exists right now.

I find it interesting that different LNC members see different problems with it.

On the one hand there's people who are offended by Our Senate Candidate being explicitly labeled as maga in the picture. This is a completely inaccurate and damaging portayal of the candidate. This isn't debatable.

On the other is opposition to Our Party growing by absorbing and converting disaffected republicans.

I suspect that if Mr. Massie were to decide to reenter politics after his current term expires, and went for the Libertarian Party Presidential nomination, this element would absolutely oppose his nomination entirely out of Fear that it may create a larger base of Paleo Libertarians in the party.

Resistance to growing the party based in the desire to gatekeep a fiefdom for ones own niche is unprincipled .

We should be welcoming all former Democrats, Republicans, Greens, Constitution party, etc, as long as they embrace Liberty. Period.

That is the only path to success.

Anyone who opposes growing the party by welcoming former members of other parties who embrace Liberty is harming the party. As the Old Radical Caucus would have said in their newsletter: a BRICKBAT to you.

Thank you.

In Liberty,
