This Week:
Cherries & Berries, Red's Smokehouse, and
a Performance by James Gardin & the Full Respect!
Wednesday, July 16
2:30 - 7:00 pm
If you're a fan of Michigan-grown fruit, this would be a good week to stop by! Cherries, blueberries, black raspberries, and currants will be available for sale, as well as tomatoes, peppers, broccoli, cucumbers, and so much more. Grab an Apple Cider Slushie from The Country Mill and a bag of kettle corn from JW Kettle Corn or Cornetti from Tannin to enjoy while you shop. Want lunch or dinner? Get a burrito from Ofilia's El Burrito or some pulled pork nachos from Red's Smokehouse. James Gardin & the Full Respect (who recently performed at Common Ground) will perform from 4-6!
* Want to show your ASFM love? Become a member of our Yard Sign Corps! Help us advertise by putting out an ASFM yard sign every Wednesday morning to help passersby remember that Wednesday is market day on the Eastside! Visit the outreach table in the middle of the market to get your sign and get started.
The Double Up Food Bucks (DUFB) program has started! All SNAP-recipients are eligible to participate. For any amount up to $20 in EBT (in multiples of 2), the bank will match that amount in DUFB. Learn more about this too-good-to-be-true program here.

A word on market currency: Got to the market only to realize you're out of cash? No worries! Visit our Market Bank where you can use your debit or credit card to get the amount you need to make your purchases in Market Money Tokens, worth $5 each. All of our vendors accept these and they are used just like cash. For example: if you buy a $4 item from a vendor with one Market Money Token, they will simply give you a $1 back in cash. Don't worry about having to run to the ATM before coming to the market! Similarly, EBT cards can be used to purchase EBT tokens, worth $1 each. With EBT tokens, however, you cannot buy something for $1.50 with 2 EBT tokens and get .50 back in change - you would need to use .50 of your own change. Questions? Just stop by the bank table and our friendly banker, Aris, will be happy to help!
