I am completely in favor of anti-war coalitions.   I went to the last one.

 

I however cannot vote on this one without answers to questions that should have been addressed before answering for sponsors.

 

1. What does “endorsing” entail?  Just using our logo?  A monetary donation?
2. Why is our logo already on the page when we have not voted?
3. Will anyone from the LP be renumerated for their services on this?  I am not philosophically opposed to getting paid for work, but just just ballot accessing petitionining it needs to be disclosed or disclaimed.

 

My internal instinct is YES but I cannot follow that until those questions are answered and I think duty requires us to ask.

I find it interesting that those questions don’t seem to be fiduciarily important.

 

Also this doesn’t seem to be a non-profit but I am not good with stuff like that.   Is RAWM still a non-profit?

 

All for anti-war.  Not crazy about being asked to vote on something that already has our logo without a vote and financial questions not answered.

I am glad to re-ask the emails, numbered, and simply with this intro.  OF COURSE it costs money to put on an event.  That was never remotely the questins.

 

1. Is RAWM a non-profit?  Link to where I can see that for this year?
2. Are the directors being paid, if so, one of the directors being the Chair, how much?  And for what?  That is basic fiduciary disclosure.
3. Why is our logo on the website when we haven’t even voted?
4. After expenses where does the money go?
5. Where is the accounting for last year’s event (yes I have change my position on the relevance of that after speaking to legal people knowledgeable about this sort of thing and would like a link and mature people do change their minds with more information and I admit when I do).
6. Will we get a full accounting?
7. Do we have to donate to endorse?

As said earlier the ending date is the 13^th.  I am changing my vote to no.  I support the idea of the cause.   I will be there.  But my questions, which actually the chair has a fidicuiary obligation to answer remain mostly unanswered or kinda unanswered.  She is a very involved party and now I found out about a very Trumpian event to take place the next day she founded and did not put on her conflicts of interest and no corporate disclosure can be found.  Also this image shows that WAY before the LNC vote WE ARE THE ORGANIZER.  There is significant liability there.  How much staff time do we pay.

 

The fact that so few ask so few questions, and when I do I am mocked is a huge breach of duty.  This smacks of self-dealing as does the even the next day.  I look forward to the “witty” insults.
