I have gone back and forth on this interpretation for a while but dug quite a bit into it tonight a lot, and am now firmly convinced that it violates the bylaws.
This one will likely draw an appeal from someone or maybe not– but forget that, if you get out of your echo chambers you will see the members don’t like this one bit-innocent or not. You should care somewhat about that.
Oh, those are the losers. They don’t matter.
Nick Sarwark won his Chair race primarily on this issue before any of you were anywhere near the Party (not all). The abject ignorance of history is going to bite back hard. Great talking point for anyone looking to run for Chair in the future and near certainty to chew up more time on odd needs for secrecy not permitted in bylaws. If you can’t say it in front of the members (with the three exceptions for executive session) on an official list maybe you shouldn’t be saying it at all or saving it for your personal spaces. It will all get out. It always does. And then even innocent things look sinister.
