Wellesley College Department of Computer Science Tenure Track Position Wellesley College is seeking applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professorship in Computer Science. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Computer Science or be close to completion. We especially encourage candidates in computer systems, software engineering, networks, databases, multimedia and artificial intelligence, but all areas of speciality will be considered
. Wellesley College is a private liberal arts college for women that places heavy emphasis on excellence in teaching as well as research. The college offers both a major and a minor in computer science, and has a cross-registration program with MIT that dramatically increases the resources and curricular options available to its faculty, staff and students. The department's computers include Apple Macintosh and NT clusters dedicated to instruction, as well as SUN SPARC, !
Silicon Graphics, and HP workstations, and a MasPar parallel computer. All machines are connected to the campus wide network and to the Internet. Located 13 miles west of Boston near a high concentration of computer research institutions, Wellesley provides a unique combination of access to a major urban center while retaining a sense of the country by its 500 acre campus, lake and woodlands.
