(DBWORLD) PhD Studentship at City University, London

Applications are invited for an EPSRC PhD studentship. The successful
candidate will join the distributed and agent-based computing group.
The studentship is partly sponsored by industry and is part of a
project on information agents. The ideal candidate has good math and
computing skills, including databases, distributed systems,
programming.

There is no closing date but it is expected the Studentship will start
in October 1999. To be eligible for an EPSRC studentship, candidates
must satisfy two key eligibility requirements

- a relevant connection with the United Kingdom (UK), usually through
residence,

- academic qualifications at the level of a first or upper second
class honours degree from a UK academic organisation.

The studentship will be for 3 years, subject to standard EPSRC terms
and conditions which can be found on the EPSRC website (see
