3rd EUROPEAN CONFERENCE
ON PRINCIPLES AND PRACTICE
OF KNOWLEDGE DISCOVERY IN DATABASES
September 15-18, 1999, Prague, Czech Republic
PKDD is one of the most important events in the field of Knowledge Discovery in
Databases (KDD) and attracts both researchers and practitioners from all over
the world. You can learn more about the goals and the program of the conference

PKDD’99 conference in Prague is the third in the series of PKDD conferences:
in 1997 it was held in Trondheim, Norway, and in 1998 in Nantes, France.
The number of participants grew between 1997 and 1998 at the rate compatible
with the history of the main international KDD conferences in the US, which
also started with similar numbers of participants, while now they attract above
600 participants and involve a substantial industrial track of business
presentations, demos and exhibits.
In addition, in 1998 more than 80 participants attended a special session on
data mining, aimed at the industry and local government in the Nantes region,
representing 64 different companies or branches in different cities. A similar
special session will be organized in Prague for participants from the Czech
Republic and from Slovak Republic on September 14, 1999.
An important part of PKDD’99 will be exhibitions of KDD relevant literature and
demonstrations of software for data mining and knowledge discovery, including
both commercial and experimental systems. We can offer various services for
exhibitors:
EXHIBITION STAND (3 x 3 m, equipped with 1 table 60x60 cm, 2 chairs, plug 220 V,
joint lamp). The stand will be situated in the entrance hall of the University
3 EXHIBITION POSTERS (130 x 97 cm, soft surface for pins, use of both sides
possible). The boards will be situated next to New Hall, where all lectures will
be presented
3 TABLES (70 x 120 cm) suitable for exhibition of your products. The tables will
be situated in the entrance hall of the University
TO INSERT YOUR MATERIALS (leaflets, brochures etc., 5 pieces maximum, up to 20
pages each) to the conference package (with proceedings, conference program,
gift, etc.) which will be distributed during the registration upon participants
arrivals.
Upon your request we can offer you additional equipment of the stand (inside the
stand or separately): tables, chairs, show case (glass upper side), leaflets
holder, your logo on frontal side of the stand (the model in any size must be
delivered to Action M Agency latest on August 31, 1999)
