Hi,

I have installed LMT 3.1.3 release to monitor an external Lustre file
system on a Cray XE6. The file system consists of one mds and 4 oss
nodes managed by an esms node. They are connected to the Cray via
infiniband to the lnet routers. I am using the esms as the management
server and mds and oss as lustre servers. I am getting information
with lmtmetric commands. But ltop fails with "No live file system
data found" message. Ltop -f data fails with "no data found for file
system `data`".

Any idea what may cause the failures?

Thanks,
Ray

You probably don't have cerebro set up correctly. Have you read and
followed the instructions on the wiki?

https://github.com/chaos/lmt/wiki/Installation

The "Detailed Installation Instructions" for "Get ltop Working" have a
number of commands that you can run to verify that everything is
working, and to locate where the problem lies.

Thanks Chris.  Yes, I did verified good with cerebro-stat command.  One thing I need to clarify are the parameters on the cerebro.conf file for cerebro_metric_server and cerebro_event_server.  Is the ip address for these parameters pointing to the LMT server on both servers?  They seem didn't make any difference on the ip address as long as I have "cerebrod_listen" turned "on" both sides.

Hi,

I just implemented LMT 3.1.3 and Cerebro 1.12 release on my lmt server.  After I added the filesystem to mysql database, I ran lmtsh -f fsname to check the database tables.  It aborted with "Can't locate Date/Manip.pm in @INC" at line 23 of /usr/sbin/lmtsh.  Any idea what would cause this problem?

Thanks,
Ray

You are apparently missing the perl Date::Manip library.

Chris,

Thanks.  I think I also need to install DBI.pm.  But now I am getting "LMT was built without LUA support "  Is this mean I need to install LUA interpreter package?

Thanks again,
Ray
