INTERN: Melanoma Research at UCSF (P/T “swing year”)
Graduating this spring and looking for some medically-related experience while you are in the application process for medical school? Interested in participating in research at the world-renowned UCSF School of Medicine? An internship is becoming available in the lab of Dr. Susana Ortiz-Urda MD PhD—a lab which focuses on the genetic causes of melanoma, specifically late stage melanoma. Working in the lab, the intern will learn many different techniques, such as working with cell culture, PCRs (etc), and the internship will be a great way to gain some research experience and get published before applying to grad/medical school.
This part-time (~20 hr/wk) internship starts this summer (2012) and will last for a year. Dr. Ortiz's lab is at the UCSF Mt. Zion campus in San Francisco.
TO APPLY: Please email your CV/resume to ggr...@derm.ucsf.edu.
MORE INFO: Please email ggr...@derm.ucsf.edu if you have any questions about the research or the internship.
