Greetings to all! How is the leaf raking going? As soon as my back
neighbor's tree decides to let go, I'll be done -- not sure why it
always insists on being last?

By now, I expect your feeders are up and running full blast for the
winter season. I don't feed in the summer and I've always wondered
how the word gets out so quickly once I start up again in the fall.
But now I know! My desk at home looks out over the back yard and
while working there this fall I have realized the birds check every
day to see if anything has appeared yet -- it started in mid-September
or perhaps that was just when I noticed it.

And it's not just the seasons that are changing. In an effort to
become more efficient we are swapping the Google Groups based
LMPBirder email delivery over to an internal system. Beginning
immediately, our e-mail address for this newsletter will be:

lmpb...@lakemetroparks.com.

In order to continue to receive these updates you will need to send an
email to lmpb...@lakemetroparks.com with your first and last name to
confirm your current contact information on the list. As before you
will get updates on interesting birds and bird behavior being seen
locally, news on any bird related functions taking place and of
course, Lake Metroparks' birding trips and programs.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during this transition,
Ann Bugeda
