Happy New Year fellow birders!!
Just a quick reminder that we have a day trip planned for Saturday,
January 9. The trip will begin at a restricted access Lake Metropark
area in Perry and continue west along the lake shore with stops to
look for hardy birds that spend the winter foraging the shoreline --
gulls, ducks, and perhaps an eagle or two! There are still a couple
openings and you can register by calling 440-358-7275. The cost of
the trip is $40 and the name of the trip is Lake Shore Winter Birding
or you can register on line at:

And this weekend when you dismantle your Christmas tree, if you aren't
going to use it in your yard to create extra shelter around the bird
feeder, consider dropping it off at one of Lake Metroparks recycling
locations. There are 11 locations throughout the county and you can
find the one nearest to you by going to:

We are looking forward to seeing you on the birding trail in the New
Year!!
