Have you been trying to bird between the rain and wind this week? If
you are frustrated and have the day available on Saturday, May 15,
2010, a couple of seats have just opened up for the WARBLER MADNESS
trip to Magee Marsh!! Registration has been reopened for this trip
and the weather is suppose to be SUNNY!
The van leaves Penitentiary Glen at 7 a .m. and will return around 6
p.m. Cost of the trip is $40. Dan Donaldson and Ann Bugeda will be
the leaders for the day.
Dan and I were over there with a group yesterday -- there was a good
variety of warblers and there should be some new ones by Saturday!
Our total for the day was 76 species of birds -- that's from the
moment we pull out of Pen Glen until we return.
My favorite siting for the day was a field with Dunlins in breeding
plumage (I think that was a first for me) and several close looks at
American Pipits!
Call
440-356-7275 to register for Saturday or go on-line to

And while I have your attention, this Sunday is the final Sunday
morning spring birdwalk at Penitentiary Glen and other venues around
the region -- Sunday's weather looks GOOD!! We step off at 7:30 a.m.
On Wednesday morning, 5/19, the Weekday Spring Bird Walks will
continue at Chagrin River Park from 7:30 to 10 a.m. This is a FREE
program and starts in the Reeves Rd. Parking lot.
Hope to see you on one of these walks!
