Just a reminder to take a minute to set up a simple user account for our new Michigan Bicycling Forum on LMB's website before michbike is closed down at the end of August. The new forum can be found at http://www.LMB.org/forum

Hello Michbike Users,

This email is to notify you that LMB is transitioning the Michbike email list serve to a forum hosted on our website.

The new forum can be found at http://www.LMB.org/forum

The hope is that the new forum will facilitate engaging conversations on various Michigan bicycling issues in a way that can easily be categorized, archived, and searched. Each topic area will have an option to subscribe to posts by email or RSS feed, allowing you to you to receive notifications when new posts are made. You can subscribe to as many or as a few topics as you would like.

We encourage everyone who is interested in participating in our new forum to visit the link above. If you have already created an account on the LMB's website in the past to submit events to our Ride Calendar, your username and password is already in our system, and you will simply need to log in. If not, you'll need to use the "Create an account" link.

We have set up a limited number of forum categories to get started, but will expand and subcategorize topics as needed. We currently have the following categories:

  • LMB Bicycle Tours
  • Education & Advocacy
  • Classifieds
  • Law Enforcement
  • Engineering
  • Events
  • General Discussion
  • Regional Discussion

If you have ideas for additional categories, please post them using the Suggestion Box.

We are also in need of moderators to help facilitate conversations in the various topic categories. If you are interested, please contact me at jo...@LMB.org.

Thank you in advance for being an early adopter. Your feedback and participation will help us improve this new service.
