    Thanks for the reply.
    Do you suggest any other design for storing events like in-memory DBMS or RDBMS (relatively high volume). Is this some thing that depends on deployment environment. we need some thing that is reliable in terms fast fail over , persistent and cross site. LogFS is linux OS specific and can the log's be stored on the SAN. Is  there java frame work for reference that uses Log FS like Log 4J.

what do you use for journalling.
