Seeking Research Participants for
Te Reo Māori Project
Kia Ora!

Are you currently learning te reo Māori? Would you like to participate
in a study that will benefit the students learning the language?

Project Description

Tākaro Ataata Ako Reo Māori is a Te Whare Kura funded project
investigating the effectiveness of video games as tools for learning
te reo Māori. The project aims to test whether video games can be
developed to enhance the learning of te reo Māori.

As part of this research you are invited to participate in a focus
group to discuss your media preferences (e.g. what television shows
you like) and language study habits (e.g. what resources you use when
studying Māori outside of class). Refreshments will be provided and
the session should take approximately 90 minutes of your time. All the
information you provide will be kept confidential. In appreciation for
your participation you will be gifted with a $25 voucher.


Eligibility for Participation

If you are learning te reo Māori and are a university student then you
are eligible to participate.
