To review…

Bessex… a minor earldom with five years or so under Draught, then Grain for a year, now occupied by a Thane.
Farpont… one earl for twenty years, now a smoking hole in the ground
Arderydd… a smoking hole in the ground for twenty years, now an Earldom.
Andel… a peaceful transition from one Earl to another.  Go Andel.  Also your heir brought civil war to the Heorots.
Lothan… one earl for twenty years, starts a civil war, then occupied by another Earl, then another, then another, and ends up in Vincian hands
Kenton… I think "Kenton" is going to be Heorot for "I don't know who the fuck controls it."
Longmarch Pass… one earl for twenty years, now New Krakiland
Timber… one earl for twenty years, then another for less than one, then not an earldom at all, then almost eaten by wolves.

Guys, Heurley is a mess.  The social order is breaking down.  Status and political boundaries are approaching Balkan levels of wtf-ness. A lot of people are asking me for hard answers, and I'm saying, official ruling… the politics of Lloegyr is kind of a mess.

What about Senton? I was under the impression that Odette's adopted son Eric was the Earl. And I actually thought Nyla would have cared for him and his sister, being their aunt and the last living relative? I know with Odette being dead I really have no real say about this but... I'm curious!

There ARE laws in Lloegyr. It's called rule by big men wielding pointy metal sticks.

Amey
you are not wrong, but this is Lloegyr so you are also not right. The ST clearly doesn't tolerate that kind of thing.

Rob
mandating the learning of Kraki isn't the most popular choice for The First Law, however necessary it may be.

Adios!

Nonsense.  You only need laws when those in charge are too cowardly to use their big sticks!

Amey, re: Senton...

Senton has an Earl, who has what you would call "de jure" power.  He's the Earl of Senton, and generally, people refer to him by the title he inherited.

However, de facto (which is what I go by), Young Eric has power only as long as Caspian (and to a degree, Nyla) says he does.  So having the support of Eric doesn't count for much... it matters what Caspian says.
