Challenge Overview
The 3rd LLMs4OL Challenge @ ISWC 2026 invites researchers and practitioners to explore the capabilities of Large Language Models (LLMs) in automating Ontology Learning (OL). As the Semantic Web evolves, automating the extraction and structuring of knowledge becomes paramount. This challenge focuses on leveraging LLMs to enhance OL processes, contributing to more intelligent and interoperable web systems. Building on previous iterations, this edition aims to deepen the community's development of LLM-driven OL methodologies using the OntoLearner infrastructure.
Challenge Tasks
Participants can engage in one or more of the following tasks:
Task A - Flagship Task: Given raw text, construct a primitive ontology including terms, types, taxonomy, and relations.
Task B - Reuse Task: Given a partial ontology, add new concepts and relations extracted from text.
Task C - Taxonomy Task: Given ontologies from source domains, induce a hierarchical taxonomy for an unseen domain.
Task D - Ontologizer Task (Optional): Adding more ontologies to the OntoLearner collection.
Each task is designed to address the OL goals, using LLMs4OL paradigms, encouraging innovative approaches and solutions. More info at https://sites.google.com/view/llms4ol2026/challenge-overview
