Dear Nalsarites,
Greetings from School of Law, Mahindra University, Hyderabad
Hope you are doing well. As you might be aware, I am currently serving as Dean, School of Law, Mahindra University, Hyderabad. As a Professor and Registrar at NALSAR, we have organised multiple events including some notable conferences, workshops, seminars etc. I have received substantial support from you all, for which I am more than happy.
Now at Mahindra University, as part of my current Academic Social Responsibility, I am fostering similar practices to encourage young law students. As part of this, we are organising an International Law and Technology Conference “Revolutionary Technologies and Evolutionary Laws: Challenges and Opportunities” on 1st March 2024. This Conference is preceded by a One-Day Workshop on “Data Governance in the Age of Artificial Intelligence” on 29th February 2024 and succeeded by 1st MU International Moot Court Competition on 2nd and 3rd March 2024.
This conference aims to foster a symbiotic relationship between law and technology, where one can navigate the complexities of the digital age and ensure a harmonious coexistence that benefits society as a whole. As part of this conference, Abstracts were called for 5 Tracks vis-à-vis Traditional International Norms versus Technology:
1. Traditional International Law: Principles of State Sovereignty, State Jurisdiction, State Responsibility, State Liability;
2. Artificial Intelligence: Ethical and Legal Issues;
3. Data Privacy, Data Protection and Legal Challenges;
4. Cyber Crimes, Cyber Security, Cyber Technologies and Emerging Legal Challenges;
5. Globalization and Covidization: Techno-Legal Challenges.
I am happy to inform you that the authors of selected abstracts can present their work during the conference. The peers and experts attending the conference will give their valuable suggestions on their work, which can be incorporated in a full paper. These papers will be published by a reputable publishing house. The speakers for this conference shall range from notable academicians to reputed Industry Experts and Policy Makers.
I am also glad to inform you that MU SOL awards INR 10,000/- (Indian Rupees Ten Thousand) for the Best Presenter for each track. Hence, I request you all to contribute abstracts/papers and also circulate this information in your networks.
Additionally, Mahindra University, School of Law shall be organizing its 1st International Moot Court Competition on 2-3 March, 2024. For which, I anticipate your support in judging the rounds and memorials.
Finally, I expect your help/cooperation in organizing Round-Table Discussion, International Conference and Moot Court Competitions.
