We are pleased to inform you that Indian Institute of Legal Studies (IILS), Siliguri, West Bengal has expressed its interest in inviting applications for the post of Assistant Professor of Law to the students of our University.

About the Institute:

The Indian institute of Legal Studies is affiliated to the University of North Bengal, and is approved by the Bar Council of India, and recognized under Sections 2(f) & 12 (B) of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956. The Institute is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The Institute offers Undergraduate Law programs for 5 Year integrated courses in B.A. LL.B. (Hons.), B.Com. LL.B. (Hons.) and B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) and 3 Year LLB. It offers Post Graduation courses of 2 Year LL.M. program and 2 Year Master's program in Public Administration and Governance.

Eligibility Criteria:  

Candidates are required to have a Master's Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a pointscale, wherever the grading system is followed) with UGC-NET/JRF/SET. In this regard, please note that candidates with an experience of 2-3 years shall be preferred.

• Scanned copy of UG / PG Certificates; PhD /NET/JRF Degree (pdf file)
• Scanned copy of Consolidated or Semester wise mark Sheets (pdf file)
• Scanned copy of All Previous Experience Certificates (Teaching, lndustry & Research) (pdf file)
• Scanned copy of pay slip of last pay drawn or salary certificate or Bank statement (pdf file)
• Scanned copy of one passport Size photograph
• Updated Resume (pdf file)

Further, kindly note that a selection committee (appointed as per UGC norm) shall conduct in-person interviews of the interested candidates in college premises. The tentative dates for the same shall be between June 17, 2023 and June 24, 2023.
