Working from Lamba - Open Space schedule

Good morning Lambas!

We’re working on the “Open Space” schedule where at least one Lamba is present at the Lab, working, making sure the space is open in case anyone wanted to drop by.

So far, Khalil, Nour, Micheline (aka Micha) and myself are able to work from Lamba.

If your work is independent of “location”, please do send me an email with the times where you can work from Lamba. Shukran! Maz

I suggest to share a doodle with the group, where anyone willing and capable can fill in the times they can work from the space. That should give us an idea of where we are, and what missing time slots we need to work towards.

Since doodling this is a pain in the neck cuz we literally need 24 hours - 7 days time slots (at least I assume so), I’ll send out an excel sheet to LLBH where each one can color the timeslots she/he can spend “being” at Lamba, and we’ll compile them to a live excel table on G-Drive! Maz, I'm confused about the 24/7. Does that mean that you're expecting at least one person to spend on overnight at the space every day?

Definitely not. Thing is, the space will have its own private access, and I know already that some Lambas are night-workers, hence why “overnights” might be an option for fixed open hours too.

The space will be accessible to members 24/7 (once the membership model is finalized) as part of the benefits package.

For now, we’ll start with whatever available time slots at hand, fixed Open Hours. Later on, I’m sure more students and members will join and will be spending quite a lot of time at Lamba. Maz

stability in time has a lot of benefits
we might want to start with the continuous time range that is more likely to bring commitments, and that is not likely to change a lot. usually, "normal" hours get a better response
out of that range, a flexible / opportunistic approach could be implemented quite efficiently using the lamba switch + slack API / FB API etc

regarding the late night shifts, we might bump into other limitations than members motivation, like
- insurance of the host
- neighbors
- security concerns using power / industrial tools

Side question, is lamba already registered as a legal entity (a moral person) ?
If it isn't i think it's priority 0 for the revival effort
