The Minister of State for Investment and Technology Affairs, His Excellency Mr. Adel Afiouni and the World Bank Group (WBG); in collaboration with the WBG’s Youth Action Group are calling technologists, designers, developers & brilliant talents aged between 18 & 31 to participate in the “SHIFT to Digital Hackathon” which will be held in Beirut on November 2 and 3, 2019 at Beirut Digital District (BDD). The Hackathon will aim to experiment rapid idea generation for 48 consecutive hours to create inventive, original and high-impact solutions to pre-defined challenges with the help of mentors and experts who will guide them throughout their quest.

 

Shift to Digital Hackathon will feature two tracks:

 

• “GovHack”: A track focusing on electronic government where contestants will be invited to develop solutions that enhance the government-to-citizens (G2C) and the government-to-businesses (G2B) services. 

 

                1^ST Prize: 2,000.00 USD

                                1 Month internship at the Ministry of State for Investment and Technology Affairs

                 Access to the 5-day Flat6labs boot camp

                & More

                2^nd prize: 1,500.00 USD

                3^rd prize:  1,000.00 USD

 

• “FinHack”: A track where contestants will be invited to prototype ideas aiming at improving the quality, effectiveness and relevance of financial services.

 

              1^ST Prize:  2,000.00 USD

                               Access to the 5-day Flat6labs boot camp

              2^nd prize:  1,500.00 USD

              3^rd prize:  1,000.00 USD

Please note that registration to this event is mandatory. The “SHIFT to Digital” Hackathon content team will review your application and will revert back with a confirmation of acceptance in due course.
