Dear Robotics Enthusiasts,
We’re very excited to announce our surprise workshop for this semester, on Telecommunications. We’re collaborating with National Instruments to bring to you this free workshop in a field we have never tackled before.
The workshop will be given by Mr. Mounzer Saleh from National Instruments, and aims to introduce students to the concept of software-defined radios and allow them to build their first telecommunication system.
Topics to be covered are :
- Architecture of Software-Defined Radios (SDR)
- Building a spectral monitoring application using an SDR
- Building an FM Radio receiver using an SDR
- Examining a digital modulation scheme to transmit and recover text and data.
The workshop will be held on Wednesday, March 21, 2018, at 5:30 pm, in IOEC.
The workshop is free for everyone to attend, but places are limited, and priority will be given to club members and AUB students. Note that you will be using the lab computers.
